I've been a home inspector for over 12 years and never have I come across a real estate agency as unethical as this one. One would think a selling agent would want their clients to be truly informed about the home they're purchasing. That is NOT the case with Intown Focus Realty. One of their clients hired me to inspect a home. I found that the chimney had no damper, and was releasing the conditioned air out the chimney. Not only does this increase heating/cooling cost, but it overworks and shortens the lifespan of the furnace and AC. I recommended installing a damper to prevent this. Apparently, the potential buyer agreed and Joan was furious! She literally contacted me in an attempt to get me to take back my recommendation. I obviously cared more about her clients wellbeing than she did.
